Jaquet Droz has announced the opening of its first boutique in the Dubai Mall, inviting connoisseurs, collectors and watch aficionados from the Middle East to explore and discover the legacy of the brand. Established 280 years ago, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious Swiss watchmaking brands in the world.
Since its creation in 1738, by Pierre Jaquet-Droz, one of the greatest craftsmen of the 18th century, the brand has been developing crafted collections that stay true to its founder’s legacy for close to three centuries.

With a refreshed brand campaign – “Some Watches tell Time. Some tell a Story” – Jaquet Droz Ladies Watch Replica will take customers on a journey of exclusive timepieces at its new boutique in Dubai Mall and showcase its passion for master watchmaking and time-old watch culture.
The new boutique features an elegant ambience, with sleek lines and a palette of beige, black and grey. Set in a modern and luxurious atmosphere, customers will be able to revel in the brand’s refined style and appreciate the watches that will be presented in a wall showcase. In addition, a structured wall inspired by the stars found in the brand’s logo and the crown of its watches is the finishing touches to the interior design.
So let us get the title part out of the way, because I tend to harp on nomenclature (as you probably already understand). Although this watch is obviously part of this Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde set, it is mislabeled, since it doesn’t have a “grand next” hand typical of the remainder of the group, but rather a juxtaposed dial, where the hour and second hands are in which the moments hand are. Where the hour and minute hands normally are around Grande Seconde models, the Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Tourbillon Aventurine has an exposed tourbillon – that doubles as another index. I really feel like I am repeating myself since I basically made the same remarks two years ago.I’ve always liked the simplicity of the Grande Seconde Tourbillon, but the story differs. The outer region of the face is aventurine, while the inner part is mother-of-pearl. While I am not typically a diamond watch sort of man, I really do think the total composition of the Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Tourbillon Aventurine is rather beautiful.Aventurine is a gorgeous semi-precious stone that’s really a kind of quartz. It comes in a selection of colors with most aventurine stones being green. Having said that, in watches, I’ve only ever seen the profound blue form of the mineral. What makes aventurine unique for me is that the deep blue types of the mineral, when utilized as a background, offer the expression of space. There are small shiny mineral inclusions in aventurine that glow like stars against the heavy sky blue. When watches need to have a backdrop that resembles space, aventurine is often used.

The automata models and the Ateliers d’Art limited editions are especially favored by connoisseurs, who will now be able to leisurely browse an extensive collection and enjoy exclusive dial customizing services. The ‘Ateliers d’Art’ collection which features birds – a theme that was very dear to Jaquet Droz since the 18th century, will also be available at the new boutique.
